Each May, Sydney Writers’ Festival presents a week-long celebration of literature and ideas for students. Featuring three unique programs designed to encourage a love of reading and writing, our Education stream provides students with the opportunity to engage with ideas outside the traditional classroom setting.
The Primary School Days and Secondary School Days programs bring together prominent authors and illustrators and students for a fun, interactive and educational day that inspires students to discuss books and creativity.
In partnership with the NSW Education Standards Authority, Sydney Writers' Festival has created an ideas-packed program of sessions to inspire enquiring minds while covering a range of stimulating topics linked to the NSW school curriculum. The Student Sessions program gives secondary school students rare access to some of the biggest stars on the Festival program – including acclaimed writers, respected social commentators and the world’s keenest thought-leaders.
In term four, Sydney Writers’ Festival presents the Children's Festival of Moving Stories. Details and bookings will be announced in September.
