Celebrated for his dark realism in the tradition of the early works of Christos Tsiolkas and Luke Davies, Peter Polites has been hailed as an exciting new voice. His debut novel Down the Hume is unpretentious, spare and squarely placed in his native Western Sydney. Peter and Ronnie Scott discuss writing queer Western Sydney noir, the Greek migrant experience, and real and metaphorical borders.
