The Go-Betweens were no ordinary rock band. So, it’s no surprise that Grant & I, Robert Forster’s story of his musical collaboration with Grant McLennan, is no ordinary rock memoir. It’s a story of the band’s unusual beginnings in 1978 and the wild twists and turns they took. It’s about fans and the music industry, and it’s written in Forster’s wise, witty style. The ABC Radio Sydney’s Robbie Buck talks to Robert about his fascinating story of friendship, poetry and song.
